Major Update for QuarkXPress

Footnote/Endnote XTension Announced

September 30, 2011 Midlothian, Virginia. Virginia Systems announced today that it is shipping a major update to its Sonar Bookends Fnote XTension for QuarkXPress.

The updated plug-in works with QuarkPress versions 8.x and 9.x for both Macintosh and Windows.

New features of Sonar Bookends Fnote include:

* Automatic resizing of footnote destination text boxes to fit the footnotes they contain. Text on the pages are reflowed as necessary to accomodate the footnote text boxes

* The rule above the footnote text box can now be customized as to its width, length, distance above the footnote box, and minimum distance between the rule and the text above it

* Importation of Microsoft Word documents with footnotes and endnotes has been ehanced to allow the import of more than 500 footnotes/endnotes

The free demo version allows the creation of up to 5 footnotes or endnotes.

Sonar Bookends Fnote costs $195 for a single-user license.

Updates to Sonar Bookends Fnotes are free to users who had previously purchased a version of the product after July 1, 2011. Otherwise, a one-year support agreement that includes updates is $125. Support agreements can be purchased on the Virginia Systems' web site under "Ordering."
