Updated Automatic Indexing System
Announced by Virginia Systems

September 10, 2003 Midlothian, Virginia. Virginia Systems announced today that it is shipping an updated version of its Sonar Bookends Professional automatic indexing system for Macintosh and Windows.

The new version is OS X native for Macintosh users, but still runs under OS 9.x for those who do not have OS X. New features for both Macintosh and Windows versions include support for Acrobat 6 PDF files and an option to split the index into groups by first letter and making that first letter the title for the group:

A

American Diabetes Association, 45-47
American Revolution, 24

B

Balance of Power, 106
Broadband Transmission, 116, 122-125

Sonar Bookends Professional can create an index based on computer detected proper nouns, subjects of sentences, single words, or a list of terms provided by the user. It can create a single-level or multiple-level index and much more.

A free demo of the Sonar Professional system is available on Virginia Systems' web site at: www.virginiasystems.com

Sonar Bookends Professional costs $395 for a single user license. Volume discounts are available. Existing Sonar Bookends Professional users can update to the new version for $150.
